Privacy Policy — Browser Android App
Summary: Browser is a mobile web browser for Android. Bookmarks, history, and preferences are stored on your device. The app uses the internet for web browsing, Google AdMob advertising, and Firebase remote configuration. We do not require an account and we do not knowingly collect your name, email, or phone number through core browser features.
This Privacy Policy explains how the Browser mobile application (“App”, “we”, “us”, “our”) handles information when you download, install, or use the App on Android. It is written to align with the Google Play Developer Program policies, Google Play User Data / Data safety requirements, and advertising disclosures for apps that use Google AdMob.
1. Who we are

2. Information we process
2.1 Information stored on your device (local only)
To provide browser features offline and between sessions, the App stores data locally (for example using Android SharedPreferences), including:
- Bookmarks (page title and URL)
- Browsing history (recent pages)
- Quick-access shortcuts you add
- Tab-related session state needed to restore open pages
- App preferences (for example JavaScript on/off, popup blocking, Do Not Track preference where available)
- Cached AdMob application ID for reliable ad SDK initialization
This local browsing data is used to operate the App and is not uploaded by us to a developer-operated user account database. Clearing app storage or uninstalling the App removes this local data.
2.2 Website content and cookies from sites you visit
When you browse the web, websites may set their own cookies, local storage, and scripts inside the WebView, subject to those websites’ privacy policies. We do not control third-party website practices. You can clear browsing data in the App / system settings where available.
2.3 Automatically collected / third-party technical data
When the App has network access, Google and related services may process technical data as described in their policies, which can include:
- Device identifiers and advertising identifiers (for ads measurement/personalization, subject to your device settings)
- IP address, approximate network information, and device/app diagnostics
- Crash logs and performance metrics (if enabled by Google libraries)
- Ad impressions, clicks, and related advertising events
- Approximate region/country signals used only to decide whether ads should be shown (see Section 6)
3. Android permissions and why we use them
The App requests only permissions needed for browsing and ads:
- INTERNET — load websites, ads, Firebase configuration, and sponsored links in an in-app WebView.
- ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE — check connectivity before network requests.
The App does not request contacts, SMS, call logs, precise GPS location, microphone, camera, photos/media library, body sensors, or foreground-service media playback / special-use permissions for its own features.
4. How we use information
- Provide web browsing, tabs, bookmarks, history, downloads initiated by you, and settings
- Show advertisements (banner, interstitial, app-open, native) and related fallback creatives
- Retrieve remote ad configuration (ad unit IDs, click rules, sponsored creative fields, privacy/terms URLs) via Firebase Realtime Database
- Apply a simple region-based ads gate so ads can be limited in configured locations
- Improve stability and comply with law and Google Play policy requirements
5. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App displays ads using Google AdMob. Ads help keep the App available at no charge. AdMob and its partners may collect and process data such as advertising ID, IP address, device information, and interaction with ads to provide, personalize, measure, and combat fraud in advertising.

If a native ad fails to load, the App may show a fallback promotional card configured remotely (title, description, image, icon, button text, and URL). Tapping it may open the advertiser URL in an in-app WebView.
The App may also open sponsored website URLs on a click rotation after a configured number of in-app clicks. These pages open in-app and can be dismissed by you.
6. Approximate region / location signals (ads gate only)
To decide whether advertising should be hidden for certain regions configured remotely, the App may use:
- Network / SIM country codes provided by the Android system (where available)
- Device locale country
- An approximate country/region lookup based on IP address via a third-party geolocation API (for example ipapi.co)
This is not continuous GPS tracking and is not used to build a browsing profile for sale. It is used for ads configuration / compliance with remote settings.
7. Firebase / Google services
We use Google Firebase services, which may process data under Google’s terms and privacy policy:
- Firebase Realtime Database — remote configuration for advertising identifiers, website URLs, Native Fail creative fields, Privacy Policy / Terms URLs, and related non-personal app configuration (not used as a personal profile store)
- Other Google Play services components required by AdMob / Firebase SDKs
Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Performance Monitoring, or Cloud Messaging may be present through Google libraries depending on build configuration; if enabled, they operate under Google’s policies.
8. Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Data may be processed by:
- Google LLC and affiliates (AdMob, Play services, Firebase) as independent controllers/processors under their policies
- Advertising partners participating in AdMob demand, as disclosed by Google
- Websites you choose to visit (their own policies apply)
- Geolocation API providers used for approximate region checks
- Authorities when required by law
9. Data retention
- On-device App data: retained until you clear App storage, uninstall the App, or delete data in-App where available (for example clear history).
- Google / Firebase / AdMob logs: retained according to Google’s retention practices.
- Website cookies / storage: controlled by the sites you visit and WebView storage until cleared.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical measures appropriate for a consumer browser app (OS sandboxing, limited permissions, encrypted transport for Google service endpoints and HTTPS websites). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. Always use caution on untrusted websites.
11. Children’s privacy
The App is a general-audience browser and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Advertising may be subject to Google’s families / child-directed treatment rules; do not designate the App as primarily child-directed unless you fully comply with Play Families policies and AdMob child-directed settings.
12. Your choices and rights
- Clear history / bookmarks / app data, or uninstall the App
- Disable JavaScript or other browsing preferences in Settings where available
- Reset/delete advertising ID and limit ad personalization in device/Google settings
- Depending on your region (for example EEA/UK), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing of personal data held by service providers — contact us and/or Google using their privacy tools
13. International processing
Google and other service providers may process data on servers outside your country. By using the App, you understand that such transfers may occur subject to their safeguards and applicable law.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect App changes or legal/policy requirements. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy. Material changes may also be reflected in the Google Play listing where required.
15. Google Play Data safety (disclosure aid)
For Play Console Data safety form alignment (verify against your live build before submission):
- Collected / shared via third parties: Device or other IDs; App interactions / diagnostics / crash logs (if enabled); Advertising data (through Google AdMob/Firebase); Approximate location (IP/network country for ads gate)
- On-device only (not collected by developer servers): Bookmarks, history, quick access, browsing preferences
- Purposes: App functionality, advertising or marketing, fraud prevention/security, analytics/diagnostics
- Account creation: Not required
- Encryption in transit: Yes for Google service endpoints and HTTPS sites
- Users can request deletion: Local data via clear storage/uninstall; third-party data via Google privacy tools / your support contact
